The Munsters Trailer Is Finally Here

Finaly after months of little teasers, we have a trailer for The Munsters. I have to give Rob Zombie credit for posting updates on a regular basis, and now he has given us a clip he posted on  Instagram. Yes, it’s short, but it’s supposed to pique our interests. And it has.

The trailer for The Munsters trailer is nearly identical to the original sitcom’s opening credits. We have Herman breaking through the door Lily’s gracefulness to Sam (most didn’t know that was Grandpa's name) Dracula in his clumsy glory. This is oldschool Munsters. A show that kept horror fans satisfied with a weekly dose of fun. Before the invention of things like VHS, Blurays, and the internet, horror was mostly found at the theater, and rarely on TV. This gave the audience a little taste of Universal Monsters. The best part about the trailer is we know the film will definitely be coming out later this year.

We have Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie is playing Lily Munster of course, Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster, Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp the gypsy queen, Dee Wallace as the Voice of Goodmorning Transilvania, Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson as Barbara “Real Estate” Carr and Jorge Garcia as Dr. Wolfgang's hunchback assistant Floop.

This isn't the first remake of the Munsters. There has been a couple of reboots. My favorite was Mockingbird Lane from 2012. It wasn't picked up for a series, but we did get a really nice modern retelling. If you have never seen it, go to Youtube and check it out. I am surprised no one picked it up.
