Chucky & Tiffany Return in New Teasers

It’s Spummer (the weird time at the end of spring and the beginning of summer). And I hate it. My body is not adjusted from the winter cold to the summer heat and I sweat like a fat guy in a sauna. I am always damp because it rains every 10 minutes because of the 1000% humidity. I wear a coat when I leave the house in the morning and use the heater in the car. I get 3rd-degree burns by the noonday sun. I’ve stripped down to practically my boxer briefs by evening. Thankfully it will be over by the middle of June.

Thankfully we have some good news during the humidity hell. Child’s Play franchise creator Don Mancini took to Twitter to share two new teasers for SYFY and USA Network’s newest horror series, centering around the iconic killer doll Chucky. The series is expected to make its debut this coming fall.

The first video teases the return of Oscar nominees and Child’s Play mainstays Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly as they reprise their roles as the voices of Chucky and Tiffany Valentine.

The second teaser provides us our first behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming series’ ongoing production. It also gave us a glimpse at one of the newest characters in the franchise, portrayed by Zachary Arthur.

The Chucky series will be set in an American town thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders sweep through and threaten to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets, all of which come on the heels of a vintage Chucky doll turning up at a suburban yard sale. At the same time, the titular doll must deal with the arrival of enemies and allies from his past who threaten to expose the truth behind the killings and the untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child turned demonic killer.

It will feature the return of franchise vets Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, reprising their roles. Joining them are Final Destination alum Devon Sawa, Lexa Doig, and Barbara Alyn Woods along with Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Bjorgvin Arnarson, and Alyvia Alyn Lind, who are set to portray the young leads.
